CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs: bound $AttrDef table walk to the loaded table size
ntfs_attr_find_in_attrdef() walks the in-memory $AttrDef table, but the
loop condition bounds only the start of each entry, not the whole entry:
for (ad = vol->attrdef; (u8 *)ad - (u8 *)vol->attrdef <
vol->attrdef_size && ad->type; ++ad)
struct attr_def is 160 bytes; the guard reads ad->type at offset 128 and
the loop body reads further fields. vol->attrdef is kvzalloc(i_size),
where i_size is the on-disk $AttrDef data size, checked in
load_and_init_attrdef() only as 0 < i_size <= 0x7fffffff. A volume whose
$AttrDef data size is smaller than one entry (e.g. 120 bytes) makes the
read of ad->type run past the allocation. Creating a file reaches this
through ntfs_attr_size_bounds_check() and reads out of bounds:
BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in ntfs_attr_find_in_attrdef+0x66/0xa0
Read of size 4 at addr ffff888005833280 by task init/1
ntfs_attr_find_in_attrdef
ntfs_attr_size_bounds_check
ntfs_attr_can_be_non_resident
ntfs_attr_add
Require the whole entry to lie within attrdef_size in the loop guard, and
reject at mount a $AttrDef too small to hold one attr_def entry. |
| Excelize is a Go language library for reading and writing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. From 2.7.0 to 2.11.0, conditional-format extraction indexes required child slices or dereferences an optional colorScale child without validating malformed rule structure. GetConditionalFormats reaches extractCondFmtCellIs and also indexes ColorScale.Cfvo, DataBar.Cfvo, and DataBar.Color without complete structural checks. When a crafted worksheet supplies a cellIs, dataBar, or colorScale rule missing expected children and the application calls GetConditionalFormats, missing formula, color, value-object, or colorScale data reaches an out-of-range index or nil dereference, allowing an attacker to panic and terminate an unprotected process. No fixed version is available as of this review. |
| Excelize is a Go language library for reading and writing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. From 2.0.0 to 2.11.0 in github.com/xuri/excelize/v2 and from 1.1.0 to 1.4.1 in github.com/xuri/excelize, ColumnNameToNumber accumulates a bijective base-26 value in int64 without detecting overflow, allowing an invalid long column name to wrap to zero with no error. ColumnNameToNumber accepts the overflowing name VGWQHXLSDVIKWV, after which checkSheetR0 and xlsxWorksheet.checkRow use the wrapped column value as an index. When a crafted worksheet uses an overflowing column name in a row normalized by checkSheetR0 or checkRow, the wrapped zero column becomes a negative slice index during worksheet normalization, allowing an attacker to panic and terminate the calling process. No fixed version is available as of this review. |
| A kernel buffer overflow vulnerability in HP Sure Click versions prior to 4.4.33 may allow local privilege escalation or arbitrary code execution. HP has released version 4.4.33 to address this vulnerability. |
| libming through 0.4.8 contains a heap buffer overflow in r_readc() in src/blocks/fromswf.c. A crafted SWF file with a malformed or truncated RECT header can cause a denial of service. |
| A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the ArubaOS command line interface. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability results in a denial of service on the affected system.

| msgpack5 is a msgpack v5 implementation for node.js and the browser. Prior to 6.1.0, constructing msgpack5 with an empty or partial options object disables the default protoAction: 'error' protection. A decoded map containing a __proto__ key can then replace the decoded object's prototype, potentially changing inherited properties or downstream behavior, although Object.prototype is not modified globally. This issue is fixed in version 6.1.0. |
| Out of bounds read in Skia in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.39 allowed a local attacker leveraging social engineering to potentially read memory via a crafted file. (Chromium security severity: Low) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
security/keys: fix missed RCU read section on lookup
Nicholas Carlini reports that the keyring code calls assoc_array_find()
in find_key_to_update() without holding the RCU read lock, while the
assoc_array_gc() code really is designed around removing the node from
the tree and then freeing it after an RCU grace-period.
The regular key handling doesn't see this because holding the keyring
semaphore hides any lifetime issues, but the persistent key handling
uses a different model.
Instead of extending the keyring locking, just do the simple RCU locking
that the assoc_array was designed for. |
| A memory buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the internal diagnostic and route validation routines used by the Fabric Shortest Path First (FSPF) protocol component of Brocade Fabric OS versions before 10.0.1. While this code path is part of internal diagnostic functionality and is not directly accessible via standard user interfaces or CLI management commands, an input processing flaw allows incoming or internally routed diagnostic state payloads to exceed allocated memory boundaries. An attacker that is able to chain or link other vulnerabilities to exploit this internal diagnostic could cause a heap- or stack-based memory overrun, resulting in a daemon crash (Denial of Service) or potential arbitrary code execution within the context of the routing daemon. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: hsr: fix potential OOB access in supervision frame handling
Ensure the entire TLV header is linearized before access by adding
sizeof(struct hsr_sup_tlv) to the pskb_may_pull() calls. Without this,
a truncated frame could cause an out-of-bounds access. |
| In Video HAL, there is a possible escalation of privilege due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: ALPS11375674; Issue ID: MSV-9571. |
| In apu, there is a possible memory corruption due to improper input validation. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: ALPS11249004; Issue ID: MSV-9170. |
| In Modem, there is a possible system crash due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to remote denial of service, if a UE has connected to a rogue base station controlled by the attacker, with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: MOLY01864925 / MOLY01210562; Issue ID: MSV-8303. |
| In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.3, 10.2.7, and 10.0.10, a user that holds a role with the read_o11y_content capability could inject forged entries into the app log through the Representational State Transfer (REST) API. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk App for Splunk O11y Cloud does not neutralize user-supplied SignalFlow content before writing it to the app log.
Splunk Enterprise versions 9.4.x are not affected. |
| An integer underflow was found in the popt library when formatting help text for option tables that exceed the terminal width. A local user who can cause an application to print help under those conditions may cause that application to crash or fail to display help, resulting in a denial of service of the affected application. |
| IBM DataPower Gateway 10.5.0.0 through 10.5.0.22, 10.6.1 through 10.6.6, 10.6.0.0 through 10.6.0.10, and 11.0.0.0 through 11.0.0.2 could allow an attacker to cause a heap buffer underwrite and potentially crash the service. |
| IBM DataPower Gateway 10.5.0.0 through 10.5.0.22, 10.6.1 through 10.6.6, 10.6.0.0 through 10.6.0.10, and 11.0.0.0 through 11.0.0.2 could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service due to an out-of-bounds read. |
| An integer underflow in WinCursorShapeUtils::trimTransparent() in GlavSoft TightVNC Server for Windows before 2.8.88 allows a local authenticated user to crash the server, and potentially read out-of-bounds memory, by causing a cursor shape with a width or height of zero to be processed on the DXGI capture path. The loop bound width - 1 wraps to 0xFFFFFFFF, producing an access roughly 4 GB beyond the 64 KB cursor buffer; a monochrome cursor of height 1 also becomes 0 because getCursorHeight() halves the height in place. |
| An out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the ZRLE decoder of GlavSoft TightVNC Viewer for Windows before 2.8.88 allows a malicious or compromised VNC server to read heap memory beyond the palette allocation and crash the viewer by sending ZRLE-encoded tiles whose palette indices exceed the declared palette size. readPaletteRleTile() and readPackedPaletteTile() use the attacker-supplied index to look up colours without validating it against the palette size; out-of-bounds heap data is copied into the framebuffer (garbled display) or the read faults, terminating the viewer. |
