CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in Undertow where malformed client requests can trigger server-side stream resets without triggering abuse counters. This issue, referred to as the "MadeYouReset" attack, allows malicious clients to induce excessive server workload by repeatedly causing server-side stream aborts. While not a protocol bug, this highlights a common implementation weakness that can be exploited to cause a denial of service (DoS). |
| Uncontrolled Resource Consumption (CWE-400) in Elasticsearch can lead denial of service via Excessive Allocation (CAPEC-130) |
| vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. Prior to 0.30.0, a caller can use the request-level media_io_kwargs field to select the GLMGA video backend and supply large values for the fps and max_frames options without a strict work ceiling. GLMGA constructs and deduplicates an attacker-sized pre-decode frame-index list, allowing a compact request and tiny valid video to consume disproportionate CPU time and memory in the shared media-loading executor. This issue is fixed in version 0.30.0. |
| js-yaml is a JavaScript YAML parser and dumper. Prior to 3.15.1, 4.3.1, and 5.2.1, YAML11_SCHEMA support for the !!omap tag in src/tag/sequence/omap.ts uses omapTag.addItem() to perform a linear duplicate-key scan on every insertion, causing O(n^2) CPU consumption when yaml.load() parses a crafted ordered-map document. In v3 and v4, !!omap is active and exploitable by default. v5 doesn't use !!omap by default, and the chances of activating it are very low.This issue is fixed in 3.15.1, 4.3.1, and 5.2.1. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: fix the possible bioc_list memory leak during error
There are two possible ways to leak bioc memory on
btrfs_ordered_extent::bioc_list:
- An error occurred for btrfs_insert_one_raid_extent()
Then the function btrfs_insert_raid_extent() immediately return
without freeing any bioc in the bioc_list.
- An ordered extent hit an IO error
In that case the ordered extent will have BTRFS_ORDERED_IOERR set, and
skip the call on btrfs_insert_raid_extent() completely.
Fix the problem by:
- Introduce a new helper, btrfs_cleanup_ordered_bioc_list()
Which will remove all bioc from the bioc_list, and release the bioc.
- Call the above helper for btrfs_insert_raid_extent()
So that the cleanup helper is always called no matter what.
- Call the above helper for btrfs_finish_one_ordered()
This is called just before the final release on the ordered extent.
This was reported by Sashiko when reviewing another patch. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: fix rmmio iounmap skipped on device removal
amdgpu_pci_remove() calls drm_dev_unplug() before fini_sw(), so
drm_dev_enter() is already false there and the iounmap() guarded by it
is skipped. This .remove path runs on both hot-unplug and plain rmmod,
so the register BAR ioremap mapping leaks one instance per unload.
Unmap rmmio unconditionally (guard only on non-NULL) and drop the now
unused idx.

| Fleet is an open source osquery manager. In Fleet before version 3.7.0 a malicious actor with a valid node key can send a badly formatted request that causes the Fleet server to exit, resulting in denial of service. This is possible only while a live query is currently ongoing. We believe the impact of this vulnerability to be low given the requirement that the actor has a valid node key. There is no information disclosure, privilege escalation, or code execution. The issue is fixed in Fleet 3.7.0. |
| Asymmetric resource consumption (amplification) vulnerability in Apache Struts. When a request parameter is bound to an arbitrary-precision decimal (java.math.BigDecimal) property that is then rendered through the Struts tag library, the framework can produce a response many orders of magnitude larger than the request, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to exhaust server CPU and outbound network capacity with sustained low-volume traffic. Applications that do not bind request parameters to BigDecimal properties, or never render such a property through the Struts tag library, are not affected.
This issue affects Apache Struts: from 2.5.14 through 2.5.33, from 6.0.0 through 6.11.0, from 7.0.0 through 7.3.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 6.12.0 or 7.4.0, which fixes the issue. |
| Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in the Elixir standard library's Version module allows an attacker who controls a version string to cause a denial of service through CPU and memory exhaustion.
The version parser converts numeric version components (major, minor, patch and numeric pre-release/build identifiers) to integers without bounding their length. A single large all-digit component therefore forces a super-linear, non-yielding base-10 to arbitrary-precision integer conversion (String.to_integer/1, i.e. :erlang.binary_to_integer/1) that pins a BEAM scheduler, and a larger component raises an uncaught SystemLimitError that crashes the calling process. A single moderately sized string (around one megabyte) is enough; no authentication is required.
This is reachable from the public entry points Version.parse/1, Version.parse!/1, Version.match?/3, Version.compare/2, and Version.parse_requirement/1, which applications routinely call on untrusted input such as HTTP parameters, dependency-manifest fields, and package metadata.
This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/version.ex and program routines 'Elixir.Version.Parser':parse_digits/2.
This issue affects elixir: from 0.9.3 before 1.20.1. |
| A flaw was found in FreeType, specifically within its CID font loader. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by tricking a user into opening content that embeds or references a specially crafted CID-keyed font. This crafted font can cause repeated allocations and decryptions of subroutine data across multiple font dictionaries, leading to excessive memory and CPU consumption. This can result in a denial of service (DoS) for the application or service processing the font, potentially causing it to hang or terminate. |
| Tornado versions before 6.5.9 contain an unbounded memory accumulation vulnerability in CurlAsyncHTTPClient that allows remote attackers to cause denial of service by sending a compressed response. Attackers can send a gzip-encoded decompression bomb that accumulates in memory without size limits, causing the application process to be killed by out-of-memory conditions. |
| vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. Prior to 0.30.0, the Rust frontend's track_http_metrics middleware records the raw HTTP method token as a Prometheus label for requests reaching registered routes. An unauthenticated attacker can send unique arbitrary method tokens to unguarded routes such as /tokenize, causing Prometheus's Family::get_or_create function to permanently create counter and histogram label sets. Those label sets increase process memory usage and enlarge the /metrics response until the service or monitoring path is exhausted. This issue is fixed in version 0.30.0. |
| stream-json is a micro-library of stream components for processing JSON and JSONC with a minimal memory footprint. Prior to 3.6.0, the JSONC parser at stream-json/jsonc/parser.js and verifier at stream-json/jsonc/verifier.js restart comment-terminator scanning from the opening slash whenever a block or line comment spans an input chunk, while retaining the accumulated comment buffer. Delivering a large valid comment across many small chunks therefore causes quadratic CPU work and can stall the Node.js event loop. The maintainer characterizes the attack vector as local because the documented JSONC input is locally owned or user-controlled configuration, rather than input intended for the open internet. This JSONC-only scope does not include the plain JSON parser, which advances through and discards consumed string and number data. This issue is fixed in version 3.6.0. |
| Asymmetric Resource Consumption vulnerability in Apache Directory LDAP API.
Storing a password using the bcrypt algorithm with a high force like 30 in a LDAP server that supports this algorithm will cause the server CPU to run for hours checking the credentials. A bounded cost should be enforced to avoid a server DOS.
This issue affects Apache Directory LDAP API: from 2.1.0 before 2.1.9.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.1.9, which fixes the issue. |
| Incorrect boundary conditions in the Security: Process Sandboxing component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156 and Thunderbird 156. |
| Improper handling of compressed data in the shared GZIP decompressor used for AMQP 0-8/0-9/0-9-1 and AMQP 0-10 message delivery, message conversion and HTTP management JSON rendering allows authenticated message producers to exhaust memory and disrupt broker availability via processing without a decompressed-output limit.
This issue affects Apache Qpid Broker-J: through 10.1.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 10.1.1, which fixes the issue. |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.16.1, an attacker can craft a PDF that causes pypdf/_doc_common.py _get_outline to consume long runtimes and large amounts of memory when retrieving document outlines with large numbers of entries or deeply nested reused paths because the traversal lacked global entry-count and nesting-depth limits. This issue is fixed in version 6.16.1. |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.15.0, an attacker can craft a PDF that causes long runtimes when the pypdf/_utils.py function read_until_whitespace reads a stream containing a long run of bytes without whitespace. The function repeatedly performs immutable bytes concatenation in a one-byte loop, causing quadratic processing cost for the long non-whitespace input. This issue is fixed in version 6.15.0. |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.15.0, a crafted PDF can cause large memory consumption when pypdf/_cmap.py function parse_bfrange parses unusually large source-code or destination-string tokens in a font /ToUnicode CMap during text extraction. This issue is fixed in 6.15.0. |
| Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in Apache Thrift PHP bindings.
This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue. |
