CVSS v3.1 |
SumatraPDF is a multi-format reader for Windows. In 3.6.1 and earlier, untrusted document paths and PDF link targets are interpolated into notification text that ParseTip() interprets as trusted tip markup. When a user clicks an injected link, ExecuteTipLink() dispatches its CmdExec command and can execute an attacker-selected local program in the user's context. No broader impact is claimed beyond the advisory-supported conditions. No fixed version is available as of this review.
SumatraPDF is a multi-format reader for Windows. In 3.6.1 and earlier, FrameOnCommand() handles CmdExec by passing a null current-tab pointer to RunWithExe(), which dereferences WindowTab::filePath. A local process in the same interactive Windows session, at an integrity level greater than or equal to SumatraPDF's under Windows UIPI, can dispatch CmdExec over DDE or WM_COPYDATA while no document tab is open, causing abrupt process termination and loss of unsaved state. No broader impact is claimed beyond the advisory-supported conditions. No fixed version is available as of this review.
SumatraPDF is a multi-format reader for Windows. In 3.5.2 and earlier, an attacker-controlled SyncTeX source filename is substituted for the %f placeholder in an external editor command line without safe Windows argument quoting, and the resulting command line is passed to CreateProcessW(). A user with an external editor configured or auto-detected who opens a PDF with a crafted .synctex.gz file and invokes inverse search can inject command-line flags; the resulting impact depends on the target editor interpreting those flags and can include unintended editor actions or code execution through a malicious extension. No broader impact is claimed beyond the advisory-supported conditions. No fixed version is available as of this review.
A flaw was found in SSSD's IdP authentication provider. The eval_access_token_buf() function compares the OIDC subject identifier using strncmp() with the authenticated user's identifier length, performing a prefix comparison instead of an exact match. An attacker whose IdP identifier is a strict prefix of a target user's identifier can authenticate as the target user.
A flaw was found in libsolv. This heap buffer overflow occurs during the decompression of attacker-controlled compressed data within `.solv` files due to insufficient input validation. An attacker can provide a specially crafted `.solv` file, which, when processed by a vulnerable application, can lead to out-of-bounds memory access. This could result in information disclosure, alteration of program execution, or a denial of service.
A flaw was found in 389-ds-base. A remote, authenticated attacker could exploit a vulnerability in the Simple Authentication and Security Layer (SASL) UNBIND process. By sending a specially crafted request, the attacker can cause a connection to stall, leading to resource exhaustion and a Denial of Service (DoS) for the server.
SumatraPDF is a multi-format reader for Windows. In 3.6.1 and earlier, src/SelectionTranslate.cpp embeds selected or pasted translation text in quoted Windows command lines using incomplete quote-only escaping. The affected BuildGrokTranslateCmdLineTemp(), BuildClaudeTranslateCmdLineTemp(), and BuildCodexTranslateCmdLineTemp() functions can allow attacker-controlled text to inject model, working-directory, approval, or sandbox-bypass flags when the corresponding agentic CLI backend is installed and used. No broader impact is claimed beyond the advisory-supported conditions. No fixed version is available as of this review.
SumatraPDF is a multi-format reader for Windows. In 3.6.1 and earlier, ChmFile::GetCharZ() narrows file-controlled unsigned string offsets from /#WINDOWS and /#IVB to signed integers without a lower-bound check. An offset that becomes negative can make the function read before the /#STRINGS buffer, causing deterministic application termination. No broader impact is claimed beyond the advisory-supported conditions. No fixed version is available as of this review.
SumatraPDF is a multi-format reader for Windows. In 3.6.1 and earlier, and in pre-release 3.7.0.20369 when WebView2 is absent or cannot initialize, ParseProtoUrl() accepts the signed host component of an its:// URL and FindHtmlWindowById() uses it directly as an index into gHtmlWindows. Opening a crafted CHM through the IE fallback backend with a negative or otherwise out-of-range window identifier can cause an out-of-bounds pointer read followed by an invalid object callback dereference and process termination. No fixed version is available as of this review.
SumatraPDF is a multi-format reader for Windows. In 3.6.1 and earlier, MaybeFlipBitmap() asks GDI+ to read the attacker-controlled PropertyTagOrientation size through GetPropertyItem() while supplying only a fixed 64-byte buf on the stack. Opening a crafted TIFF with enough EXIF Orientation values can cause attacker-selected bytes to overwrite stack control data, while tested builds terminate through the stack cookie check. No broader impact is claimed beyond the advisory-supported conditions. No fixed version is available as of this review.
SumatraPDF is a multi-format reader for Windows. In 3.6.1 and earlier, InitializePolicies() starts the sumatrapdfrestrict.ini path with gPolicyRestrictions set to Perm::All and only ORs permission bits, so the INI file never revokes permissions. Deploying SumatraPDF with this INI file, including a malformed file or zero-valued permission settings, can silently bypass configured disk, network, printing, registry, clipboard, preference, and fullscreen restrictions. The -restrict command-line path works correctly and is not affected. No fixed version is available as of this review.
Strawberry GraphQL is a library for creating GraphQL APIs. From 0.312.3 until 0.327.2, the legacy graphql-ws subscription handler in strawberry/subscriptions/protocols/graphql_ws/handlers.py does not remove naturally completed operations from self.tasks and self.subscriptions. When max_subscriptions_per_connection is configured, a client on a persistent WebSocket connection can use distinct operation IDs for one-shot subscriptions to fill the connection's configured slots even after those subscriptions send complete, causing later legitimate operations on that connection to be rejected with Subscription limit reached. The modern graphql-transport-ws protocol and deployments without the configured per-connection cap are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 0.327.2.
A flaw was found in Samba’s vfs_worm module. The module is intended to provide write-once, read-many (WORM) protections by preventing modification of files after a configurable grace period. Due to insufficient validation during rename operations, an authenticated user with write access to a share could overwrite a protected file by renaming a newly created file over the existing WORM-protected file.
IBM Security Verify Access 10.0 through 10.0.9.2 and IBM Verify Identity Access 11.0 through 11.0.3 are vulnerable to cross-site scripting. This vulnerability allows an authenticated user to embed arbitrary JavaScript code in the Web UI thus altering the intended functionality potentially leading to credentials disclosure within a trusted session.
An issue in libming through 0.4.8 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the readtag_file() in src/blocks/fromswf.c.
A path traversal flaw was found in SSSD's AD GPO provider. The ad_gpo_extract_smb_components() function does not sanitize .. sequences in the gPCFileSysPath LDAP attribute, allowing an attacker with AD GPO management access to write files outside the GPO cache directory as root. On default RHEL configurations with SELinux enforcing, this can be used to inject Kerberos configuration leading to authentication bypass.
Banks generates meaningful LLM prompts using a simple template language. Prior to 2.5.1, Banks DirectoryPromptRegistry does not reject symbolic links for index.json or discovered and existing .jinja prompt files. In an application where untrusted users can influence a prompt directory, DirectoryPromptRegistry._scan() and DirectoryPromptRegistry.get() can follow a link outside the registry root and disclose a file, while DirectoryPromptRegistry.set(), DirectoryPromptRegistry._save(), and DirectoryPromptRegistry._load() can read or overwrite an external link target. The issue requires attacker influence over the registry directory or its extracted contents. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.1.
Banks generates meaningful LLM prompts using a simple template language. Prior to 2.5.0, Banks Prompt.chat_messages() attempts to parse every line of rendered template output as ChatMessage JSON. When an application renders untrusted data and passes the returned ChatMessage objects to an LLM provider, attacker-controlled JSON can cross the prompt boundary and become a system, assistant, or tool message because ChatMessage.role accepts arbitrary strings. This can override application instructions, alter the intended prompt structure, or confuse downstream tool and message handling. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.0.
Dolibarr ERP CRM before 24.0.2 contains an incorrect authorization vulnerability in htdocs/core/ajax/updateextrafield.php that checks only read permission before writing extrafield values. Authenticated users with read-only access can POST objectType, objectId, field and value parameters to persistently modify extrafields on viewable third parties, products, members, projects or contacts.
AdonisJS HTTP Server is a package for handling HTTP requests in the AdonisJS framework. Prior to 8.2.3 and 9.3.0, AdonisJS HTTP Server inserts route parameter values into URLs without encodeURIComponent in the shared createURL() helper used by Router.makeUrl() and Response.redirect().toRoute(). If an application places attacker-controlled data in a dynamic first path segment and uses the generated route URL as a redirect destination, a value beginning with a slash can produce a scheme-relative external URL. Wildcard parameters are affected by the same missing encoding, while APIs intentionally accepting complete redirect URLs are not affected. An attacker can redirect users from a trusted application to an attacker-controlled site, facilitating phishing or abuse of authentication and OAuth flows. This issue is fixed in versions 8.2.3 and 9.3.0.
