| CVE-2026-98301 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-07 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mst: move switchdev call outside rcu This is a follow-up of one of sashiko's pre-existing bug reports. br_mst_set_state() calls switchdev_port_attr_set() for nonzero MSTIs while holding rcu_read_lock() which invokes the blocking switchdev notifier chain and may sleep. Nonzero MSTI changes come from netlink with rtnl held. Move the switchdev call before entering the rcu section and assert that rtnl is held. The call cannot be deferred because netlink needs its error and extack. Also DSA reads the old bridge MST state during the callback and checks it. A deferred callback will be late and will see the updated state. | ||||
| CVE-2026-97922 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-03 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Free histogram var refs regardless of how often they are referenced Using the same variable three or more times in one hist trigger leaks the variable reference and its strings when the trigger is removed. commit 656fe2ba85e8 ("tracing: Use hist trigger's var_ref array to destroy var_refs") made a trigger's var_refs[] array the only owner of a var ref: destroy_hist_field() returns early for HIST_FIELD_FL_VAR_REF, so the field expressions never destroy one. One entry, freed once, no count needed. commit 8bcebc77e85f ("tracing: Fix histogram code when expression has same var as value") then made repeated references share one object and added a count of them. Only the increment side exists, since those expressions still return early and never drop a reference, so __destroy_hist_field() sees how many references were created rather than how many are left. It frees when the decremented count is 0 or 1, so two references work and three or more leak. Sharing kept one array entry per object, and create_var_ref() searches and appends within a single trigger, so nothing outside it holds the object. Removing a trigger whose variables are still referenced is already refused by check_var_refs() with -EBUSY. Drop the count and free unconditionally. | ||||
| CVE-2026-90124 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-20 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: irqchip/renesas-rzg2l: Fix loss of interrupt rzg2l_clear_irq_int() and rzg2l_clear_tint_int() perform a read-modify-write on the ISCR/TSCR status registers to clear the bit for the interrupt just handled. Since these registers are write-0-to-clear per bit, this is racy: If another interrupt's status bit gets set between the read and the write, that bit is written back as 0 by the software-constructed value, clearing an interrupt that hasn't been serviced yet and losing it. This can be reproduced by triggering multiple interrupts at once, e.g.: gpioset -c gpiochip0 355=0 353=0 328=0 352=0 Fix this by writing back only the bit being cleared, with all other bits set to 1, instead of read-modify-writing the whole register. Since 1-bits are left unchanged by hardware, concurrently-set status bits for other interrupts are preserved. | ||||
| CVE-2026-90208 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-19 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: clocksource/drivers/samsung_pwm: Switch to raw_spinlock_t type Samsung PWM timer might be used as a clock source on some legacy systems. When PREEMPT_RT is enabled on ARM, regular spinlock is converted to a sleeping lock (mutex-based), which must not be used in atomic context such as hard interrupt handlers. Switch the samsung_pwm_lock to the raw_spinlock, which remains a true non-sleeping spinlock even under PREEMPT_RT. | ||||
| CVE-2026-89850 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-18 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Don't query firmware state while chip is down qla2x00_fw_state_show() initializes rval to QLA_FUNCTION_FAILED and jumps to the out: label when the chip is down or EEH is busy. The out: block then re-issued qla2x00_get_firmware_state() because rval != QLA_SUCCESS, defeating the chip-down/EEH-busy guards and issuing a mailbox command (outside optrom_mutex) during ISP reset or PCI error recovery, which can hang the adapter. It also turned a normal in-lock mailbox failure into a second unsynchronized mailbox attempt. Make the out: fallback only mark the firmware state as unknown. The mailbox is now issued at most once, inside optrom_mutex, and only when the chip is up and not EEH-busy. | ||||
