CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xfrm: fix compat ALLOCSPI request use-after-free
xfrm_state_netlink() builds the ALLOCSPI response with
dump_one_state(), which already calls alloc_compat() with the response
skb and header.
xfrm_alloc_userspi() then calls alloc_compat() again, but passes the
original request skb and its header. For a compat request, the
translator therefore interprets the 228-byte compat xfrm_userspi_info
as the 232-byte native layout and reads four bytes past the declared
payload. It also publishes the translated child through the request's
frag_list.
A multicast clone of the request shares skb_shared_info and can observe
that child. xfrm_user_rcv_msg() frees it after the request handler
returns, racing a compat receiver which may still be copying from it and
resulting in a use-after-free.
Remove the redundant conversion. The response keeps its correct compat
translation from dump_one_state(), and no child is attached to the
inbound request. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: wwan: t7xx: validate the netif index in t7xx_ccmni_recv_skb()
The netif index carried in the DPMAIF PIT header is five bits wide,
but ccmni_inst[] only has room for NIC_DEV_MAX (21) entries.
t7xx_ccmni_recv_skb() indexes the array without a bounds check, so
indexes 21 to 31 read past it. The out-of-bounds value lands in the
callback table that follows the array, which is never NULL, so the
existing !ccmni check does not catch it and the driver dereferences
whatever sits there as a struct t7xx_ccmni.
Drop the skb when the index is out of range.
Verified in a QEMU guest with a fault injector setting the netif
index to 25: the unpatched driver reads a value past ccmni_inst[],
which lands in the callback table, and dereferences it far enough to
queue the skb. With this check the packet is dropped. Well-formed
traffic on index 0 is unaffected.
Changes in v2: none. |
| uv is a Python package and project manager written in Rust. From 0.12.7 until 0.12.18, uv wheel extraction on Windows can process a malicious wheel in a way that writes a file outside the installation prefix, including an executable in a directory already present on the user's PATH. Non-Windows hosts are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 0.12.18. |
| In Progress® Telerik® Fiddler® Classic for Windows, versions prior to v6.0.20262.10021, the integrity check applied to the external helper tools launched by the application is insufficient. Before executing a helper tool, the application only verifies that the file carries a valid Authenticode signature whose certificate subject name matches a broad allow list of publisher name fragments, rather than verifying that the file is the specific executable shipped with that version of the product. A local threat actor with low privileges who replaces one of these helper executables with any other validly signed binary from an allow-listed publisher can cause the substituted binary to be executed by the application, including with Administrator privileges for the tools that request elevation, resulting in privilege escalation and execution of unintended code. Successful exploitation requires the user to launch the affected external tool and to approve the elevation prompt without noticing that it refers to a different executable. |
| CWE-918: Server-Side Request Forgery in the Progress @progress/sitefinity-nextjs-sdk npm package versions 15.1.8326 through 15.4.8637 may allow a remote attacker to make server-side requests to an attacker-controlled host, potentially exposing sensitive information. |
| mppx-condition-gate provides conditional free-access wrappers for mppx payment methods. Prior to @insumermodel/mppx-condition-gate 3.0.0 and @insumermodel/mppx-token-gate 1.0.4, the packages read a wallet address from the client-supplied credential.source, checked whether that public address met configured on-chain conditions, and returned a successful free-access receipt without invoking the wrapped payment verifier or proving that the caller controlled the wallet. An unauthenticated attacker could name any qualifying wallet and obtain content that should require payment, and cached grants could be reused for the configured cache lifetime. The corrected packages prevent free-access authorization unless payer control has been established. These issues are fixed in @insumermodel/mppx-condition-gate 3.0.0 and @insumermodel/mppx-token-gate 1.0.4. |
| auto-changelog before 2.6.1 merges configuration from inside the target repository (the .auto-changelog file and the auto-changelog key in package.json) into its options, and honors security-sensitive options from that untrusted source. The handlebarsSetup option is passed to require(), so running auto-changelog over attacker-controlled repository content (for example, in a CI workflow that checks out an untrusted pull request head, or locally on a forked or third-party repository) executes attacker-chosen code with the privileges of the invoking user or CI job, including access to workflow secrets, without the repository dependencies ever being installed. The plugins option similarly loads attacker-controlled modules from the repository. Under the same conditions, appendGitLog/appendGitTag allow git argument injection (e.g. --output= to write arbitrary files), output allows writing attacker-influenced content to arbitrary paths, and template causes an outbound request to an attacker-chosen URL. Version 2.6.1 treats in-repository configuration as untrusted and refuses to run when it sets these options, unless the new --unsafe-config flag is passed. |
| Newell Brands DYMO ID 1.5.1.71 resolves its plugin Modules directory relative to the process working directory. An attacker could store a job file alongside malicious modules / DLL that sets the process working directory to the job file's folder when a victim clicks on the file, resulting in code execution at the victim's privilege level. Fixed in 1.6.0. |
| Canimaan Software ClamXAV versions 3.3 - 3.11 contains a local privilege escalation vulnerability in the Privileged Helper Tool caused by a race condition and insufficient file validation, allowing a local attacker to execute arbitrary code with system privileges. Fixed in 3.11.1. |
| There exists an arbitrary file download in vCast APK delivery mechanism in ViewSonic ViewBoard unknown allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to trigger unprivileged APK installation via serving a malicious APK URL through an unauthenticated download endpoint |
