CVSS v3.1 |
| Improper restriction of environment variables in Elastic Defend can lead to exposure of sensitive information such as API keys and tokens via automatic transmission of unfiltered environment variables to the stack. |
| Microsoft Identity Web is a library which contains a set of reusable classes used in conjunction with ASP.NET Core for integrating with the Microsoft identity platform (formerly Azure AD v2.0 endpoint) and AAD B2C. This vulnerability affects confidential client applications, including daemons, web apps, and web APIs. Under specific circumstances, sensitive information such as client secrets or certificate details may be exposed in the service logs of these applications. Service logs are intended to be handled securely. Service logs generated at the information level or credential descriptions containing local file paths with passwords, Base64 encoded values, or Client secret. Additionally, logs of services using Base64 encoded certificates or certificate paths with password credential descriptions are also affected if the certificates are invalid or expired, regardless of the log level. Note that these credentials are not usable due to their invalid or expired status. To mitigate this vulnerability, update to Microsoft.Identity.Web 3.8.2 or Microsoft.Identity.Abstractions 9.0.0. |
| SAP Web Dispatcher and Internet Communication Manager allow an attacker with administrative privileges to enable debugging trace mode with a specific parameter value. This exposes unencrypted passwords in the logs, causing a high impact on the confidentiality of the application. There is no impact on integrity or availability. |
| Insertion of sensitive information into log file issue exists in "region PAY" App for Android prior to 1.5.28. If exploited, sensitive user information may be exposed to an attacker who has access to the application logs. |
| wire-ios is an iOS client for the Wire secure messaging application. From Wire iOS 3.111.1 to before 3.124.1, messages that were visible in the view port have been logged to the iOS system logs in clear text. Wire application logs created and managed by the application itself were not affected, especially not the logs users can export and send to Wire support. The iOS logs can only be accessed if someone had (physical) access to the underlying unlocked device. The issue manifested itself by calling canOpenUrl() and passing an invalid URL object. When iOS then performs the check and fails, it logs the contents to the system log. This is not documented behaviour. Wire released an emergency fix with version 3.124.1. As a workaround, users can reset their iOS device to remove the offending logs. Since Wire cannot access or modify iOS system logs, there's no other workaround other than a reset. |
| Insertion of Sensitive Information into Log File vulnerability in Octolize USPS Shipping for WooCommerce – Live Rates. This issue affects USPS Shipping for WooCommerce – Live Rates: from n/a through 1.9.4. |
| apko is an apk-based OCI image builder. apko exposures HTTP basic auth credentials from repository and keyring URLs in log output. This vulnerability is fixed in v0.14.5. |
| A security issue was discovered in azure-file-csi-driver where an actor with access to the driver logs could observe service account tokens. These tokens could then potentially be exchanged with external cloud providers to access secrets stored in cloud vault solutions. Tokens are only logged when TokenRequests is configured in the CSIDriver object and the driver is set to run at log level 2 or greater via the -v flag. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in SINUMERIK 828D V4 (All versions < V4.95 SP3), SINUMERIK 840D sl V4 (All versions < V4.95 SP3 in connection with using Create MyConfig (CMC) <= V4.8 SP1 HF6), SINUMERIK ONE (All versions < V6.23 in connection with using Create MyConfig (CMC) <= V6.6), SINUMERIK ONE (All versions < V6.15 SP4 in connection with using Create MyConfig (CMC) <= V6.6). Affected systems, that have been provisioned with Create MyConfig (CMC), contain a Insertion of Sensitive Information into Log File vulnerability. This could allow a local authenticated user with low privileges to read sensitive information and thus circumvent access restrictions. |
| Using API in the 2N OS device, authorized user can enable logging, which discloses valid authentication tokens in system log.
2N has released an updated version 2.46 of 2N OS, where this vulnerability is mitigated. It is recommended that all customers update their devices to the latest 2N OS. |
| The SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP and ABAP Platform Internet Communication Manager (ICM) permits authorized users with admin privileges and local access to log files to read sensitive information, resulting in information disclosure. This leads to high impact on the confidentiality of the application, with no impact on integrity or availability. |
| spaces_plugin/app.py in SolidUI 0.4.0 has an unnecessary print statement for an OpenAI key. The printed string might be logged. |
| canonical/get-workflow-version-action is a GitHub composite action to get commit SHA that GitHub Actions reusable workflow was called with. Prior to 1.0.1, if the get-workflow-version-action step fails, the exception output may include the GITHUB_TOKEN. If the full token is included in the exception output, GitHub will automatically redact the secret from the GitHub Actions logs. However, the token may be truncated—causing part of the GITHUB_TOKEN to be displayed in plaintext in the GitHub Actions logs. Anyone with read access to the GitHub repository can view GitHub Actions logs. For public repositories, anyone can view the GitHub Actions logs. The opportunity to exploit this vulnerability is limited—the GITHUB_TOKEN is automatically revoked when the job completes. However, there is an opportunity for an attack in the time between the GITHUB_TOKEN being displayed in the logs and the completion of the job. Users using the github-token input are impacted. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.0.1. |
| Himmelblau is an interoperability suite for Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Intune. When debugging is enabled for Himmelblau in version 1.0.0, the himmelblaud_tasks service leaks an Intune service access token to the system journal. This short-lived token can be used to detect the host's Intune compliance status, and may permit additional administrative operations for the Intune host device (though the API for these operations is undocumented). This is fixed in version 1.1.0. To workaround this issue, ensure that Himmelblau debugging is disabled. |
| "SwitchBot" App for iOS/Android contains an insertion of sensitive information into log file vulnerability in versions V6.24 through V9.12. If this vulnerability is exploited, sensitive user information may be exposed to an attacker who has access to the application logs. |
| On affected platforms running Arista EOS, the global common encryption key configuration may be logged in clear text, in local or remote accounting logs. Knowledge of both the encryption key and protocol specific encrypted secrets from the device running-config could then be used to obtain protocol specific passwords in cases where symmetric passwords are required between devices with neighbor protocol relationships. |
| The matrix-sdk-crypto crate, part of the Matrix Rust SDK project, is an implementation of a Matrix end-to-end encryption state machine in Rust. In Matrix, the server-side `key backup` stores encrypted copies of Matrix message keys. This facilitates key sharing between a user's devices and provides a redundant copy in case all devices are lost. The key backup uses asymmetric
cryptography, with each server-side key backup assigned a unique public-private key pair. Due to a logic bug introduced in commit 71136e44c03c79f80d6d1a2446673bc4d53a2067, matrix-sdk-crypto version 0.7.0 will sometimes log the private part of the backup key pair to Rust debug logs (using the `tracing` crate). This issue has been resolved in matrix-sdk-crypto version 0.7.1. No known workarounds are available. |
| Information exposure in the logging system in Yugabyte Platform allows local attackers with access to application logs to obtain database user credentials in log files, potentially leading to unauthorized database access. |
| A vulnerability exists in Docker Desktop prior to version 4.39.0 that could lead to the unintentional disclosure of sensitive information via application logs. In affected versions, proxy configuration data—potentially including sensitive details—was written to log files in clear text whenever an HTTP GET request was made through a proxy. An attacker with read access to these logs could obtain the proxy information and leverage it for further attacks or unauthorized access. Starting with version 4.39.0, Docker Desktop no longer logs the proxy string, thereby mitigating this risk. |
| System environment variables are recorded in Docker Desktop diagnostic logs, when using shell auto-completion. This leads to unintentional disclosure of sensitive information such as api keys, passwords, etc.
A malicious actor with read access to these logs could obtain secrets and further use them to gain unauthorized access to other systems. Starting with version 4.43.0 Docker Desktop no longer logs system environment variables as part of diagnostics log collection. |
