CVSS v3.1 |
| In Modem, there is a possible out of bounds read due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to remote denial of service, if a UE has connected to a rogue base station controlled by the attacker, with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: MOLY01774038; Issue ID: MSV-8912. |
| Wasmtime is a runtime for WebAssembly. From 46.0.0 until 46.0.2 and 47.0.3, fuel and epoch preemption checks inside bulk operations including memory.copy, table.grow, and array.copy can expose invalid intermediate state when an embedder mutates a Store in Store::epoch_deadline_callback or continues using a Store after cancellation or a trap. A cancelled non-nullable table growth can leave null elements, linear-memory growth during memory.copy can invalidate retained raw pointers, and callback-triggered garbage collection during array.copy can invalidate GC pointers, resulting in a crash, invalid memory access, or GC heap corruption. Embeddings whose callbacks only access the host data in Store<T>, and embeddings that discard a Store after timeout or epoch deadline, are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 46.0.2 and 47.0.3. |
| Toshiba file parser crash in 4.6.0 to 4.6.8 and 4.4.0 to 4.4.18 allows denial of service |
| Buffer over-read vulnerability in Apache Tomcat Native during the TLS handshake permits a malicious user to trigger a DoS via a JVM crash.
This issue affects Apache Tomcat Native: from 2.0.0 through 2.0.15, from 1.3.0 through 1.3.8. Earlier, unsupported versions may also be affected.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.3.9 or 2.0.16, which fix the issue. |
| Transient DOS when processing a continuous receive command with a zero-sized global configuration override. |
| A flaw was found in GLib. A buffer over-read can occur in g_io_channel_read_line_backend() in the giochannel.c file when a custom line terminator with a length greater than one is set, causing memcmp to read past the GString buffer. This vulnerability can cause a minor information disclosure of 7 bytes or a denial of service when the buffer over-read crosses a page boundary. |
| A flaw was found in GLib. A buffer over-read can occur in the g_regex_replace function when used with the `G_REGEX_RAW` compile flag and case-change replacement escapes because the string_append function processes matched substrings using UTF-8 functions that assume valid UTF-8 input, even when the string is treated as raw bytes. This vulnerability can cause a minor information disclosure of 1-5 bytes and a denial of service when the buffer over-read crosses a page boundary. |
| A flaw was found in GLib. An off-by-one error can occur in the gvs_tuple_is_normal function in the glib/gvariant-serialiser.c file when doing an alignment padding check because the bounds check uses > instead of >=, causing an out-of-bounds read of only 1 byte. This issue can cause a minor information disclosure of 1 byte and a denial of service when the out-of-bounds read crosses a page boundary. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: sun8i-ss - Remove crypto_rng interface
Since the crypto_rng interface for hardware PRNGs is unused and is
redundant with hwrng and the actual Linux RNG, it's being phased out.
Most drivers for it were already removed. Go ahead and remove the
sun8i-ss support which is one of the only remaining ones.
As usual for crypto_rng, this driver was also buggy: its ->generate()
function had a use-after-free vulnerability due to using
wait_for_completion_interruptible_timeout() without handling shutting
down the DMA operation if a signal is sent. Also, it had a buffer
overread bug in the line 'memcpy(ctx->seed, d + dlen, ctx->slen);'.
There's no point in fixing these bugs separately only to remove the code
anyway, so this commit is marked with Fixes and Cc stable. |
| A flaw was found in libgnutls. A remote attacker, by sending an extremely short premaster secret during an RSA key exchange to a server using an RSA key backed by a PKCS#11 token, could trigger a short heap overread. This memory corruption vulnerability could lead to information disclosure. |
| Two client-side TLS/DTLS handshake parsers in NetX Secure read fields from a server-supplied message before validating that the message is long enough to contain them. Both are bounded out-of-bounds reads on a remotely reachable path, both are reached from a TLS or DTLS client connecting to a malicious or malformed server, and both have the same shape: the bounds check exists and returns the correct status, but it runs after the read it is meant to guard. |
| The `_nx_secure_x509_asn1_tlv_block_parse()` function parses ASN.1 TLV (tag-length-value) blocks out of DER-encoded data. It is the primitive underneath all X.509 certificate parsing in NetX Secure, and therefore runs on certificates supplied by a remote peer during the TLS handshake.
The function reads the one-byte ASN.1 tag from the caller's buffer *before* checking that the buffer holds at least one byte. When a caller passes a remaining length of zero, the guard correctly returns `NX_SECURE_X509_ASN1_LENGTH_TOO_LONG`, but the read has already happened one byte past the end of the buffer.
code:
nx_secure/src/nx_secure_x509_asn1_tlv_block_parse.c
```
UINT _nx_secure_x509_asn1_tlv_block_parse(const UCHAR *buffer, ULONG *buffer_length, USHORT *tlv_type,
USHORT *tlv_tag_class, ULONG *tlv_length,
const UCHAR **tlv_data, ULONG *header_length)
{
UINT current_index;
USHORT current_tag;
ULONG length;
ULONG length_bytes;
current_index = 0;
current_tag = buffer[current_index]; /* <-- read before the bounds check */
if (*buffer_length < 1)
{
return(NX_SECURE_X509_ASN1_LENGTH_TOO_LONG);
}
```
The remainder of the function is correctly ordered. The multi-byte length path is guarded by `length_bytes > 4 || length_bytes > *buffer_length` before its read loop, the decoded value is checked against `length > *buffer_length`, and the second single-byte length read follows its own `*buffer_length < 1` guard. The tag read is the only load placed ahead of its check. |
| An out-of-bounds read in libXtst's RECORD reply parser in libXtst before 1.2.6 could be used by malicious X servers to crash attached X clients. |
| NVIDIA ConnectX and Bluefield contain a vulnerability in a control register, where a user with VF access could cause improper access control for the register interface by sending a malicious command to the firmware. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service. |
| MBIM protocol dissector crash in 4.6.0 to 4.6.8 and 4.4.0 to 4.4.18 allows denial of service |
| The strncasecmp function in the GNU C Library 2.24 and later optimized for the Power8 architecture may read one byte beyond the input size limit, which may crash a program when that byte is not readable.
This condition may happen when the input strings to the strncasecmp function are attacker controlled in an application and they match all the way up to the edge of their page and the neighbouring page is either not mapped or is not readable. |
